Introduction to Designware

Welcome to our no-code platform!

Our mission is to let you build fully custom apps and websites with just your creativity. Here's a quick FAQ:

Who is Designware for?

Many of our users are designers (both freelancers and in-house), and entrepreneurs looking to save time, money, and equity. But the Designware interface is made (and iterated!) to be accessible to anyone with a vision for an app or website.

What use-cases does Designware support?

Use Designware today for your free websites and apps with static functionality. You can also embed widgets or dynamic content like maps, charts, booking calendars, e-commerce interfaces, and database items.

We're soon releasing our database/CMS feature, and following up with user authentication and automations that bring real utility to your projects. Check our release log for more.

Designware does not currently export code.

What's the level of effort?

Designware is for making business-grade apps and websites, so you have more design options than Google Docs or Canva, but it's far less technical than Photoshop. If you're comfortable designing in Figma, and familiar with their AutoLayout setting (or happy to learn responsive design—a great career asset), then you'll be fine.

What makes Designware different?

Designware diverges from other no-code platforms by focusing on a completely non-technical, creative user experience that can scale to build (and host) real products for their global audiences.

Our mission is to meet the rising demand of no-coders, who are quickly becoming the creators of the majority of new apps and websites. This demand drives Designware to be use-case and publishing agnostic, so it can scale for all of your ideas. Plus we strive to make Designware a fun, intuitive part of the workday. Here's where we like to excel:

  • Do More With Design—instead of making PNGs and previews in programs like Figma or Adobe XD, get real apps and websites published for the same effort.

  • Fully Responsive—real software doesn't get made by pinning elements to a canvas, since it can't react to the infinite screen sizes in the real world. But with straightforward layout and alignment settings, a project will display beautifully whether it's on mobile or a 4K screen.

  • Truly Non-Technical—"Non-technical" is thrown around a lot in no-code. With Designware, you really never have to deal with frontend programming concepts like IDs or class names.

  • Universal Publishing—Designware is the only platform that publishes to every major format: websites, web apps, and native apps for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS. When you invest your design time with us, we make sure you can publish for every audience and business objective.
