Getting Started
Your Setup
Designware works on all modern browsers, and is designed to be used on laptop screens or larger. We recommend having at least 1000px of viewport width.
Tips
Get the best out of Designware with these pointers:
Have clear goals. Designware is an open sandbox for your UI/UX vision, so the power is in your hands. It always helps to sketch out your layout on paper first, keeping in mind that great apps and websites have intuitive, concise user journeys with clear CTAs (calls-to-action).
Think responsively. Apply layout settings that work for any screen size, since your users could be on a variety of devices.
There's beauty in space and symmetry. Keep your pages uncluttered, and use common styles to make them attractive to the human eye.
Make it accessibility-friendly. Build an inclusive audience with simple things like making sure your text sizes and colour contrasts are friendly to everyone.
Succeed with privacy regulations and app stores. Make sure your project content is compliant with the regulations of jurisdictions and app stores, such as including a privacy policy and a completed interface with no broken links or assets.
Always test drive. Put yourself in your users' shoes by running previews in the browser or on target devices, and asking yourself what's wrong, unattractive, or unenjoyable. Solicit feedback from others. Double check for responsive sizing and quality of content.
