The Media Settings

  • Media—an image or video file. It can be:

    • Royalty-Free—chosen from the integrated Pixabay image library (their terms of service apply).

    • Linked—the URL of the file, or a public YouTube or Vimeo link.

    • Uploaded—from your desktop. To reapply an uploaded file, use the media menu's search filter to find it. Supported file formats are:

    • Images: SVG (recommend for vectors), WEBP (recommended for photos), JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG

    • Videos: MP4

    • Video Streams: M3U8 (applied as a link)

Images have the following settings:

  • Fit toggles whether the image will Cover the whole area, Contain to appear fully, or display in its Resolution.

  • Alignment lets you toggle where the image is pinned when it overflows or doesn't fill the space.

  • Alt Text—the text that appears to accessibility-friendly screen readers, usually a title or short description.

Videos have the following settings:

  • Autoplay/Loop—automatically starts the video on page load and replays it on loop.

  • Show Controls—displays video controls if Autoplay/Loop is off. Controls are visible in previews and published sites & apps on hover or tap, where users will see options to play, pause, track through the video, and adjust its volume. Note that a paid Vimeo subscription is required to show controls for Vimeo videos.

  • Show Mute Button—on hover or tap of the video, users will see a mute toggle.

  • Default Volume—the percentage of the device's volume used when the video starts or is initially unmuted.
